THE RICE PROJECT

Our founders have initiated the collection of rice in Don Bosco Park Circus, Kolkata, and La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata, two of the premier institutions of Kolkata, as well as from numerous other sources. We have succeeded in raising more than 2500kg of rice which we have distributed among the city's most impoverished areas. The Rice Project was Bachpan's first initiative and forms the backbone of our endeavour to alleviate the living conditions of the poor. Food is the single most sought after commodity imperative for survival, and we, through the Rice Project, are trying to do our bit in solving this problem.
